He has provided intensive in-house training to more than 1,200 operators, technicians and engineers on five continents in the last 17 years.

Dr. Wilf has been involved in development of new desalination process and optimization of membrane technologies. Some of his inventions have resulted in patent applications and are being used in commercial desalination systems. Dr. Wilf is a regular contributor to professional journals, wrote chapters on membrane technology processes and applications to a number of books. He edited and wrote with other coauthors The Guidebook to Membrane Desalination Technology that has been published in 2006. The second book on membrane technology that he edited and contributed, The Guidebook to Membrane Technology for Wastewater Reclamation, has been published in 2010. Professor Foo is an active author, with eight books, more than 180 journal papers and made more than 230 conference presentations, with more than 30 keynote/plenary speeches. He served as International Scientific Committees for many important international conferences (CHISA/PRES, FOCAPD, ESCAPE, PSE, SDEWES, etc.). Professor Foo is the Editor-in-Chief for Process Integration and Optimization for Sustainability (Springer Nature), Subject Editor for Process Safety & Environmental Protection (Elsevier), and editorial board members for several other renowned journals. He is the winners of the Innovator of the Year Award 2009 of IChemE, Young Engineer Award 2010 of IEM, Outstanding Young Malaysian Award 2012 of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer 2013 (Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan), Vice-Chancellor’s Achievement Award 2014 (University of Nottingham) and Top Research Scientist Malaysia 2016 (ASM). Dr. Nishanth Chemmangattuvalappil is an Associated Professor of Chemical Engineering in the department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at University of Nottingham Malaysia. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, AL, USA (2010). He worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and later at Auburn University. His main areas of expertise include product and molecular design, mixture design and integrated biorefineries. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, AL, USA (2010). He worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and later at Auburn University. His main areas of expertise include product and molecular design, mixture design and integrated biorefineries. Professor Foo is the Editor-in-Chief for Process Integration and Optimization for Sustainability (Springer Nature), Subject Editor for Process Safety & Environmental Protection (Elsevier), and editorial board members for several other renowned journals. Dr. Nishanth Chemmangattuvalappil is an Associated Professor of Chemical Engineering in the department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at University of Nottingham Malaysia. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, AL, USA (2010). He worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and later at Auburn University. Van has a BS degree from the University of Alabama in mechanical engineering drafting and design and has become a well-known “hands on practitioner”. Most of his primary application skills are focused on products manufactured from materials related to the rubber, plastic, & pipe industries. In many circles he is known as “The Ideaguy” or as “The Rubber Whisperer”. Van is an internationally recognized technical educator for in-plant seminars, and university level continuing professional education programs. He is a published author of many technical papers as well of the author of the book “Rubber Molding Principles” first published in 2013 and the creator of a series of Troubleshooting Charts for processing rubber, all published and distributed by TechnoBiz. Van has established a partnership joint venture with the TechnoBiz Group which is based in Bangkok, Thailand. In Bangalore, India to design and build molding presses and ancillary equipment for the rubber industry.
