His clients include raw material suppliers, processors, end users, educational institutions and industry associations on 5 continents. Mr. Waller obtained his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal and his MBA at York University Schulich School of Business in Toronto. Mr. Waller started his career at Dow Chemical’s polyethylene technical services group before moving to Esso Chemical’s Vinyl division. Mr. Waller designed and presented the Film Technology program for the Canadian Plastics Training Centre in Toronto and SENAI in Brazil. He was co-chair of the Canadian Plastics Sector Council, which established occupational standards for film operators and was chair of the Flexible Packaging division of the Society of Plastics Engineers. He has provided intensive in-house training to more than 1,200 operators, technicians and engineers on five continents in the last 17 years.

Expert: Dr Graeme K Pearce holds a degree in chemistry and a doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Oxford, and is the Principal at his own consulting firm, Membrane Consultancy Associates (MCA) founded in 2005. MCA specializes in advice on membrane filtration technology and provides consulting services covering a range of issues including performance review, problem solving, acting as an expert witness, market analysis, strategy review, and technical advice for investors. Graeme has 40 years’ experience in the membrane field having undertaken technology and strategic development roles at BP, Kalsep, and Hydranautics prior to consulting. He is well known in the field of water and membranes through publications including numerous papers and book contributions. He is also the sole author of ‘UF/MF Membrane Water Treatment’, published by TechnoBiz. Graeme has conducted many workshop training sessions, has been a conference chairman and a regular conference session chair, as well as giving numerous keynote lectures and other papers. Dr. Wilf has been involved in process development, system design, project execution, plant operation and maintenance of large, commercial desalination and wastewater reclamation plants in US, Europe and Middle East since 1977. Dr. Wilf has been involved in development of new desalination process and optimization of membrane technologies. Some of his inventions have resulted in patent applications and are being used in commercial desalination systems. Dr. Wilf is a regular contributor to professional journals, wrote chapters on membrane technology processes and applications to a number of books. He edited and wrote with other coauthors The Guidebook to Membrane Desalination Technology that has been published in 2006. The second book on membrane technology that he edited and contributed, The Guidebook to Membrane Technology for Wastewater Reclamation, has been published in 2010. Dr. Wilf regularly presents and teaches desalination and membrane technology subjects to engineers and water professionals. His teaching activity includes teaching course on membrane technology and desalination for European Desalination Society, and other courses for industrial companies and engineering organizations.

Expert: Dr. Grazyna Mitchener, is the director and principal consultant in Polychemtech Ltd. – a technical and business consultancy specializing in innovative polyurethane technologies and other high performance polymeric products. From 1996 to 2008 she worked for Celotex in UK, developing first in Europe zero-ODP PIR rigid thermal insulation products. For the first ten years of her career she was an academic researcher and lecturer and worked on polymers with high heat and fire resistance. She gained her Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and Technology in 1992. She is the author of 8 patents and over 60 scientific papers, conference presentations and training workshops. For her contribution to the thermal insulation industry she was presented with the “Global Insulation Personality of 2014” award.

Dr. Dominic Foo is a Professor of Process Design and Integration at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and is the Founding Director for the Centre of Excellence for Green Technologies. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK, a Professional Engineer (PEng) with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), as well as the President for the Asia Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering (APCChE). He is a world-renowned scholar in process integration, focusing on resource conservation and CO2 reduction. He collaborates with more than 50 research scholars and industrial practitioners over Asia, Europe, North America and Africa. Professor Foo is an active author, with eight books, more than 180 journal papers and made more than 230 conference presentations, with more than 30 keynote/plenary speeches. He served as International Scientific Committees for many important international conferences (CHISA/PRES, FOCAPD, ESCAPE, PSE, SDEWES, etc.). Professor Foo is the Editor-in-Chief for Process Integration and Optimization for Sustainability (Springer Nature), Subject Editor for Process Safety & Environmental Protection (Elsevier), and editorial board members for several other renowned journals. He is the winners of the Innovator of the Year Award 2009 of IChemE, Young Engineer Award 2010 of IEM, Outstanding Young Malaysian Award 2012 of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer 2013 (Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan), Vice-Chancellor’s Achievement Award 2014 (University of Nottingham) and Top Research Scientist Malaysia 2016 (ASM). He conducted close to 100 professional workshops to academics and industrial practitioners worldwide.
Dr. Nishanth Chemmangattuvalappil is an Associated Professor of Chemical Engineering in the department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at University of Nottingham Malaysia. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, AL, USA (2010). He worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and later at Auburn University. His main areas of expertise include product and molecular design, mixture design and integrated biorefineries. His current work focuses on the application of molecular design concepts on reactive systems, integration of molecular design techniques into the design of biorefineries and carbon capture and storage using ionic liquids. He has co-authored more than 90 peer reviewed international journal articles and five book chapters. In addition, his works have been presented in more than 70 international conferences and in five invited lectures.
